On February 15, the kids and I had the honor of attending an awards presentation during a Western Plains Energy board meeting. Brian had nominated Steven McNinch and Chris McMillan for their outstanding support to Brian, our family, and the Kansas National Guard before and during his deployment. The award was presented by David Daniels of the Kansas ESGR. ESGR is a Department of Defense agency that seeks to promote a culture in which all American employers support and value the military service of their employees. ESGR recognizes the outstanding support, increases awareness of the law, and more.
Our family has been so grateful for everything we have received from Steve, Chris and the rest of WPE! It means so much. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I can't wait to hear the sound of the on-call phone ringing. That will mean Brian is home!!!
