Well, for those of you that know me well, I am always running way behind . . . . . .I haven't gotten pics & Christmas cards ordered yet, so I think I'm going to plan on sending out early Valentine's Day cards!  I probably won't get those out until Easter -----LOL

Shaw family Christmas in Dighton

Susan, Toby, and Tristen invited everyone to Dighton this year for the Shaw family Christmas.  We had a good time.  It was nice to catch up with everyone and for the little ones to get to know there extended cousins better.
Tristen with Jatin.
Ainsley and Breckyn were good little pals.  Breckyn called her "Amy", but Ainsley didn't mind.  I think they could be "double-trouble" if we left them together for too long.

Christmas pics

Ainsley, in front of our Christmas tree, we were on our way to her Christmas concert for school.
Ainsley's giving her little brother kisses.

Ainsley and Brogan in front of our Christmas tree

HO - HO - HOOOOOOOO

Brogan is so funny!  He is in that mocking stage and right  he says, "Hu, hu, huuuuuuuuu!"  mocking one of Nana's little animated reindeer.  He crawls around saying it all the time.  He also claps whenever Mommy says, "Merry Christmas!"  I don't know how he got that started, but he does.  Daddy said, "Merry Christmas!" and Brog just looked at him like, it's not as "clap-worthy" when you say it Daddy.             I think he's already showing us a little bit of the attitude his big sister has . . . . . . .

Ainsley had her Christmas program last night.  They sang 2 songs with the first and second graders.  They were really cute!  Mrs. Shuman does a nice job.

CRAWLING

Brogan is crawling and his sister can't keep him out of her things!!!!  Brogan started crawling at Nana's earlier in the week, but would just do the "army" crawl at home.  Finally, last night he showed us how he could get to where he wanted.  Unfortunately for Ainsley, he's always headed right for her things!!!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!!

BUBBLE GUM & STITCHES DON'T MIX

The school called me today and said that Ainsley was chewing bubble gum and her stitch got caught in it so she pulled her stitch out.  I got home and she had saved the bubblegum & stitch in a paper towel for me ----not that I could do anything with it!!  LOL

LOST TEETH

Ainsley had her two front teeth pulled today.  It ended up being a pretty traumatic event.  The tooth broke off when they pulled it so they had to dig for about 30 minutes to try and get the piece that was still attached out of her gums.  She ended up with a little stitch.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Ainsley had a wonderful Halloween.  It was so nice outside and we live in a really nice neighborhood, so we just put the little dragon, Brogan, in the stroller and took off.  It was nice to have Brian go with us.  He has not been able to Trick or Treat with us since Ainsley's first Halloween - 5 years ago!

Brogan's Tubes

We met with Dr. Black and he agreed that Brogan needed tubes put in both ears, so we did that on Sept. 12.  He has gotten along great -- NO INFECTIONS IN ALMOST 3 MONTHS.

FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN

Ainsley had her first day of Kindergarten on Papa's birthday this year.  I got to take her to school because Daddy was taking Brogan to Dr. Black to see about tubes.  It was kind of emotional, for mommy not Ainsley.  She had a great time in Mrs. Baalman's class!

Be the Star You Are - Summer Show Choir

Ainsley attended Arla Homburg's Summer Show Choir for the first time this year. She had practice 4 hours a day for a solid week to learn the songs and routines. On Friday, they had their performance. It was AWESOME!!! The kids did such an amazing job for just learning the routines 5 days earlier. Daddy, Nana, Papa, Grandma Charlotte and Grandma Thummel were all able to come watch. It even kept Brogan and Jatin entertained the entire time. Jatin really liked the "Do de Duck" rubber ducky song where the high schoolers were dressed in floaties and bathrobes. He danced his little heart out that night. Ainsley can't wait to do it again next year!!

Fair Time

Once again, Ainsley had a great time at the Logan County Fair. She and Jada, one of her long-time friends, decided they were too big this year for the kiddie rides. They preferred the big rides! They even went by themselves and screamed with excitement the whole time.

New Job and House Hunting

I thought I would let everyone know that I accepted a Kindergarten position at Colby a couple of weeks ago! I'm so excited!! There are three sections of Kindergarten and two of us are "Mrs. Wolf"---a little confusing huh!!

We are still house hunting!! There just isn't a good buyer's market in Oakley. we have a couple of prospects we are looking at, it's just a matter of making a decision. I am so ready to get back home. The kids and I are feeling like Dorothy trying to get back home!! -

Papa's doing much better

As some of you may know, my dad has not been feeling very well for the last couple of months. He is FINALLY on the mend this week. He is battling a break out of the shingles and had his gall bladder removed in Denver. I talked to Mom today and she said that they thought the surgery had irritated his shingles so he was in pain again today from that, but he's starting to feel better this evening after they switched some meds again.

He was pretty ill and we were all worried, but hopefully he will be back to being Papa in a couple of weeks! Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers for Dad - we appreciated it.

Happy Birthday!!!

Ainsley is 5!!! We had Ainsley's birthday party on Saturday and everything went very well. She had many friends come to visit even a few from out of town. They all had a blast at Catts Gymnastics! They could get all of their energy out. It was fabulous. Daddy made it home just in time Saturday from Guard Duty to make it to the birthday party. Mommy was afraid she was going to have to do it on her own with Brogan - Yikes!!

I'll post pictures when I get them uploaded. - Sorry

Birthday Bash!

We can't believe Ainsley is turning five on June 10. It seems just like yesterday that we were bringing our little baby girl home from the hospital. Ainsley is very excited to turn 5 this year. She is going to have her birthday party at Catts Gymnastics in town - much easier on mommy. No planning or entertaining little ones. Hope to see everyone there.

Last Day of School

Ainsley and Mommy are both out of school now!! Ainsley finished up on Thursday and I will finish up tomorrow ---although, I'm still packing up my classroom. It's amazing how much stuff a kindergarten teacher accumulates in just 2 years!

Brian is here for the weekend helping me before he leaves for Ft. Carson, CO for his 2-week KS National Guard annual training. He leaves on Wednesday evening for a 2-day trek to Colorado.

Nana, Aunt Kayla and Jatin are all coming for the weekend to watch Ainsley's dance recital. It's her first one, so she's really excited!! She is dancing to the Bug Dance - it's really cute!! We'll post pictures after the recital.

We hope everyone is off to a good start for the summer. Our summer is going to be filled with packing - moving - unpacking!!

GRADUATION

I can't believe it - our little girl has graduated from preschool and will be in kindergarten this fall!! It seems like it was yesterday when she was Brogan's size.

Ainsley graduated from Cubby Preschool in Miss Jenny's class on May 15 in Wamego. Nana and Papa were able to come and visit during graduation and stay for the weekend. Ainsley and her class performed Laurie Berkner's Buzz, Buzz and Dr. Jean's 5 Little Monkies Swinging in the Trees. Ainsley's class was dressed as the monkies and her friend, Carter, was the alligator trying to catch the teasing monkeys. It was very cute!!

Nana and Papa got to stay for the weekend! We were all very excited to have them here!

I work with some fantastic ladies that threw Brogan and I a baby shower on Wednesday. We received many wonderful gifts and everyone had the chance to hold Brogan. Thanks to everyone and especially my wonderful K team!!!

Kindergarten Shots

OUCH!!! Ainsley was a big girl last night and got her Kindergarten shots along with Brogan getting his 2 month shots. I had to bribe her with a Wendy's frosty, but she's now ready for Kindergarten.

Hello

I thought this was an easy way to keep everyone up-to-date on what's going on at the Wolf's.

We have added another "wolf pup" to the pack-----Brogan John was born 2-26-08 in Manhattan. He weighed 9lbs. 4 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. We were so excited to be blessed with this little bundle. We had been waiting for a long time and praying for the last 9 months that all would go well this time and it did!! Ainsley is very excited to be a big sister. She is lots of help and sometimes too much help.

The kids and I are still living in Wamego and Brian is back in Oakley living with Kelvin and Vicky. We will be moving to Oakley as soon as school is out and we find a place to live. Brian is working at Western Plains Energy (the ethanol plant in Campus). He really likes his job. I don't have a job yet, but I'm hoping something will come available for me before the end of the summer.

I hope you check back often to see how things are going and please let us know what you are up to these days. Take care and enjoy this wonderful spring weather we are having.
